Refunds

The promise

If you buy Offcut and it is not for you, tell us within 30 days of your purchase and you will get a full refund. You do not need to give a reason.

How to ask

Email support@offcut.video from the address you bought with, or include the email address you bought with or your licence key so we can find the order. You can also ask Paddle directly through the receipt they emailed you. Either route works. If Paddle cannot process it for any reason, tell us and we will make it right.

How it is paid

Purchases are handled by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record and take payment on our behalf (Paddle.com Market Ltd in the United Kingdom, or Paddle's United States or Canadian company if you bought from there). Paddle refunds the full amount to the payment method you used. Paddle issues the refund promptly; how long it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, and is usually within ten business days.

After a refund

Your licence key stops unlocking deletion the next time Offcut checks in with our server, or at the next update, whichever comes first. Scanning and browsing keep working. Anything Offcut moved to the Bin or to a Quarantine folder stays exactly where it is, and you can move it back as long as you have not emptied it. If you have a problem with a charge, contact us or Paddle before your bank: a chargeback ends the licence in the same way, and we would rather simply refund you.

Your other rights

This promise is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded, and to any rights you have under the consumer law of your own country, including the European Union and the United Kingdom. Nothing on this page takes any of those rights away.
